Craciun2

[Ro] Azi a fost o zi foarte bunaaaa! In mod neasteptat am cumparat bradutul nostru de Craciun, desi era planificat pentru maine.

[En] Today was a gooood day! Without any preparation, we bought our Christmas tree today, despite the fact that we were planning to search for one tomorrow.

[En] We were babywearing Rares to sleep and we saw across the street some Christmas trees for sale.  And I saw it, I instantly knew which was going to be our Christmas tree this year 😀 It's the first time I have this feeling so soon, even before actually looking for a tree. The sellers were sweet enough to deliver it directly to our home (Every year it was a struggle to bring it home with our car)

[En] This year I didn't manage to create new decorations for our Christmas tree but I will show you the ones I've done in the past years. I still like them just as much and I will definitely hang them this year also. A few years ago I started making my own decorations because I like the feeling it gives me to be surrounded by handmade objects, something it has to do with “cozyness”. I’m not fond of sparkling globes, especially those plastic ones we can find everywhere. I like the old ones, made of thin glass, they are so delicate and sweet! We don’t have many of those, sometimes we manage to break some L and so I decided to make my own decorations. Or at least to try. I soon realized that my favorite ones would be made of wood or mdf and also fabric. There were years when I made only mdf hearts with decoupage, others with fabric hearts filled with cotton, some of them stiched (by my mother). I think two years ago I’ve done a lot of clay decorations, using stamps and then painted. Last year I’ve decorated different mdf shapes: reindeers, houses, gloves, trees, with different names and happy messages. I don’t think I could choose a favorite, every one of them is special. I know the pictures are not a super good quality, but these are the only ones I have 😀
